Focus Tax Consulting LLP provides independent fee based personal tax and general financial planning services to :

• private individuals and trusts and ;
• companies and their executives.

As a small but growing business run by an experienced husband and wife partnership, we have the flexibility to provide a valuable personal tax service to meet your needs.

David Watts has delivered UK and international personal tax services in the city of London for more than 30 years. Over the last 20 years David has held senior positions at Ernst & Young LLP and Smith & Williamson Ltd.

Over the years David has established a comprehensive network of people he likes to work with. Before David joined Smith & Williamson, he and Sally also had their own tax consulting partnership which operated on a smaller scale for many years.

More recently David has listened to advice from clients, business contacts and other friends and established his own full time tax practice with Sally. They have now also widened their network to include many former colleagues with their own businesses plus two other Big 4 accounting firms to ensure maximum flexibility to meet client needs, particularly on larger projects.

• Advice on all aspects of personal taxation and general financial planning by matching our knowledge and skills to your assets, background and future plans.
• Focused agenda based consulting meetings, ideally based on information provided beforehand so we can concentrate on delivering value when we meet.

For companies and their executives

These services are usually developed with the company’s HR team to meet the needs of the company and its executives.

The services can be corporate sponsored and at the company’s cost or at the executive’s cost either directly with a separate engagement with each executive or as part of a wider flexible benefits programme.

Project planning is essential where Focus Tax Consulting involvement goes beyond ad hoc referrals. Project planning services typically include :

• assistance with the service launch to match the company business development network and corporate calendar as well as ;
• co-ordinating the delivery of UK and international tax coverage.
• monitoring take up, service delivery to agreed benchmarks and costs to agreed fee budgets.

Services to executives have a greater emphasis on enhancing the executive’s awareness of (and value from) their company benefit package.

Services delivered separately to each executive can include:

• agenda based executive consulting meetings
• detailed action plan and follow up consulting services
• email and telephone helplines
• tax return services

Services delivered to groups of executives can include:

• helpsheets and other material for your intranet
• seminars
• surgeries
• workshops.

About our fees

Our experience plus recent advances in technological development allow us to share some of our savings with you. So our fees levels are set to provide valuable city advice at a local price.

Our fees are quoted in advance and are based on anticipated value and time spent.

Fee timetables depend upon the services required, timeline for delivery and the nature of the engagement.
